Part 3: Resetting your password

If you have forgotten your password, you will be required to reset your password. In order to reset your password, you must come into the IT Lab (SZB 451) with a valid photo ID and fill out a password reset form. This process cannot be completed over the phone or by email. It can take several days for your password to be reset. If your form is filled out by 10 pm Tuesday night, it will be reset by Wednesday at noon. Forms filled out by 10 pm Thursday night will be reset by Friday at noon. Your password will be reset to the last four digits of the number you submitted on the password reset form – this is either your Social Security Number, or the 16-digit number from your University of Texas ID card. Once your password has been reset, you will be prompted to change it upon first logging in. Don’t forget your new password!
