Part 5: Creating a public_html folder

SSH Secure File Transfer Client will also be used to hold the files you will publish on your website. All of these files will be stored in your public_html folder. To create your public_html folder, click on the “New Folder” icon, and name your folder “public_html.” Once you have created your folder, right click on the folder and choose “Properties.” In the “Permission Mode” box at the bottom of the dialog box, type in the number “755.” This changes the permissions of this folder, allowing people to view the files that you put into this folder on the World Wide Web. You will learn more about creating files for your website later on in this tutorial.
