Title: "Putting Stuff in the Thing": Creating the Andrew Dillon DSpace digital collection
Authors: Howard, Robin
Russell, Aaron
Norris, April
Issue Date: 11-May-2005
Abstract: The Dillon project built upon the research initiated by the Minds of Carolina (MOC) project led by professors in the School of Information and Library Services at the University of Carolina - Chapel Hill. The Dillon project began an investigation of the attitudes held by active faculty members on digital institutional repositories and the activity of self-archiving. Specific concerns were faculty expectations of a digital institutional repository (DIR), and copyright and intellectual property law. The project members explored these issues and others, while building a live DSpace digital collection for Dean Andrew Dillon.
