Abstract: Jacksum is a Java-based platform independent utility that can calculate a range of checksum hashes (including md5, which is automatically generated by DSpace on ingest). It requires a Java Runtime Environment of at least 1.4.2. It is primarily accessed through a command line interface, but has been integrated into Windows Explorer and other GUI applications.
