Creating Bookmarks

Mozilla provides a few different ways to Bookmark your favorite sites.  Mark them on the fly-grabbing the best sites that you see-or manage a network of files, grouping like sites together.  Mozilla lets you take either approach.

So you've just stumbled on a web site you know you'd like to come back to later.  You've got the site open in your browser window, right?

From the Tool bar:

  1. Go up to the Tool bar and click on Bookmarks.  A new drop-down menu will appear.
  2. Select Bookmark This Page.

Drag and Drop:

Notice the Personal Toolbar that runs along the browser window just above the currently displayed page.  This is the place to store the sites you'll visit most often.    To add the current page to your Personal Toolbar:

  1. Point to the web address (URL) in the Location Bar.
  2. Hold down the mouse button, while dragging your mouse arrow back to the Personal Toolbar.
  3. Release the mouse button.   The Bookmark should appear as a new button on your Personal Toolbar.

Accessing a Bookmarked Page

Now you've saved a Bookmark a two.  Where are they?  How do you access them?

Mozilla maintains a list of the sites you've bookmarked.  To call up this list:

  1. Open the Bookmarks menu on the top toolbar.
  2. Any Bookmarks or folders of Bookmarks you've created will appear at the bottom of this drop-down menu.
  3. Select a Bookmark to direct your browser back to that site.
