Application Process

In order to apply to the School of Information Doctoral Preservation program, consult the following resources:


Application Schedule for UT Doctoral Preservation Fellowships

February 1, 2006 Full applications submitted to the School of Information and the University of Texas at Austin Graduate and International Admissions Center (GIAC)

Clear identification of which of the three doctoral preservation fellowships applied for - administration of preservation, preservation and information policy, or preservation of digital information

February 1 - 21, 2006 Initial review of applicants' dossiers by fellowship faculty team: Ellen Cunningham-Kruppa, Patricia Galloway, and Philip Doty

Recommendations by the faculty team to the Doctoral Studies Committee of the School of Information

February 21 - March 10, 2006 Review of the faculty team recommendations by the School of Information Doctoral Studies Committee; decisions about admission to the School of Information; and recommendations for admission to the Graduate School
March 15 Notification of successful and unsuccessful applicants
April 1, 2006 Letter of acceptance due to Ellen Cunningham-Kruppa at the School of Information
